Mechanical Engineer
Chassis subsystem engineering, including:
Integration with existing vehicle systems (electrical, steering, brakes, HVAC, fuel)
Powertrain thermal management
Drive unit mounting and integration
Drive unit internals
Mechanical Engineering support to electronic systems, which may include:
Electronics packaging
Circuit board control drawings
Thermal management
Environmental protection
Harness design and routing
Electronics integration to vehicle
Battery system packaging, cooling and vehicle integration
CAD System Support
Support and administration of CAD systems to ensure data is appropriately stored and shared to allow team participation
Qualifications
Required:
Strong hands-on engineer with deep technical understanding, 5+ years in mechanical engineering
Highly experienced 3D CAD user
Hands-on fabrication and integration skills
Bachelor's degree
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Thorough and methodical but with the flexible attitude needed to work effectively in a fast-moving start-up environment.
